Companies buying #bitcoin throws an interesting wrench into the free market dynamic. In the short term, potential gains from the usual capitalistic competition may well be overtaken by gains from BTC appreciation - and this then leaves BTC holding firms with potentially huge amounts of capital, to outrun their industry competitors.
Of course, investment funds/firms do already exist, but the potential magnitude of asymmetry in the btc bet makes the situation more potent, I think.
