Hi K-9 Mail community! This is a reminder that we'll be retiring this account next month, when K-9 Mail transforms into #Thunderbird for #Android.
So please go follow @thunderbird to stay in touch and get future updates. Thanks for being on this journey with us!
(YES, Thunderbird for Android will be on @fdroidorg)

@turtle contributed adaptive/mobile support to Bilioteca.
Bilioteca is an upcoming offline Documentation Viewer made by former GSoC student @akshaywarrier.
Great stuff ! 🎩
@hergertme Just tested VTE main (with #gtk main and Console/kgx 45) on my two slowest test laptops, a Thinkpad T400 and a PineBookPro.
What can I say - wow!
Without you patches using a maximized terminal feels a bit like going through ssh on wifi on both of them, the PBP being slightly worse - typing is just very sluggish.
With your patches things suddenly happen almost instantly - and using the terminal is actually fun!
Thank you so much for looking into it. Already waiting for #gnome46 now

We'll do our best to answer your questions, address concerns, and find a path forward together.
For those of us receiving email in multiple languages, it would be awesome to have #Firefox Translate built in to Thunderbird. No sending your sensitive conversations to a corporate cloud, just a lean translation service running locally.
We've decided to make it a development priority for Q1 2024!
You'll be able to track the progress via this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1823007
But as always, we'll also keep you posted right here.
So close! The new video aggregator app from Louis Rossmann seems really nice… and then they make it source available, i.e., proprietary 🤦️ Maybe they still change their mind as the objections are better answered by trademark than copyright law. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DePDzfyWkw
@sonny @MazharHussain I applied, but didn’t get an answer yet. Could you please check?
We’re excited to welcome Holly Million as Executive Director of the #GNOME Foundation! 🎉
Holly comes to us with valuable experience in nonprofit management and has served as executive director and board member for numerous organizations. https://foundation.gnome.org/2023/10/17/foundation-welcomes-new-executive-director/
@sonny @XOrgFoundation @kde @gnome Sounds great 😀 What is the scope/duration of the work? How is payment?
@sonny I'm Go Team Flatpak all the way, but managing dependencies sounds an awful lot like the work of a classical distro. I have the feeling this is the start of a deep rabbit hole. Learning from and cooperating with the people doing it for a long time might be a wise move.
Been thinking about this for a while already. It probably will become more than a bit of glue code.
We're excited to announce the release of GNOME 45! 🎉
