@ChrisWere@linuxrocks.online @immychan @viv@toot.site it is interesting to think that while no one is making ad money, there could still be paid influencers in the fediverse. I wonder what critical mass is for that to start to happen...

Trump has been attacking our campaign because he's getting nervous.

Poll after poll shows that we are the strongest campaign to beat him, even in so-called "red" states like Texas.

Together, we'll sweep him and all he stands for out of office.

@immychan i think about your coming out internal conflict posts all the time. I can't even imagine. But when I think about it I'm always hoping that you're finding happiness. So there's at least one random internetizen out here that's rooting for you.

@lashman don't you think that the article de-emphasizes the additional content aspect? It seems like the battle pass is pretty similar to the original idea of an expansion. I always thought it was funding continued development in new maps. In CoD:WWII they even added a whole new mechanic with aerial battle at the end of one of the war games.

Don't take a job where you support 24hr production without an on-call fee. I can guarantee that poor planning will be smoothed over with off hours requests because your free time is free for the company.

I keep seeing these clips of telling voters that want him to change his stance on certain policies to go vote for someone else. Good gawds I hope they do.

Happy to hear Yang will be back on the stage in the next dem debate.

Really tells you a lot about how much of a right-wing country the US. has been for decades when even members of the supposedly "left" party completly panic at the prospect of mild social democracy.

@kgosztola@twitter.com put together a summary of Tom Perez's nominations for committees. What I pulled from it is a number of the nominees have ties to industries/companies (Boeing, Walmart, Microsoft, Google, Blue Cross/Shield, and Goldman-Sachs) that have traditionally not been friendly to the voter.

We humans have become so incredibly efficient at producing food. We could feed everyone in the world if we tried.

The issue is capitalism.

The reason people are starving. The reason people are homeless, choking in toxic city air, unable to drink clean water. IT’S CAPITALISM.

@Main_Tomato@uwu.social Break Reset: automatically occurs when someone with authority over your work direction stops in the break room and talks shop with you.

@lashman didn't read article, but it's too bad the RNC didn't make Trump re-primary. I listened to some of the Welsh Weld debate and both seem like better options than Trump.

Considering the strangle hold two parties have on US elections I really wish ranked choice voting was the norm. It seems like neither party represents the people.

Corrected misconceptions I grew up with about fruit:
* apples have no core, they can be entirely consumed (maybe leave stems and seeds). Some may get slightly woody around the center but most don't
* kiwi skin is edible, and consuming is easier/faster than skinning. Recommend slicing for greatest flesh to skin ratio
* the white fiberous material between the skin and flesh (pulp?) of an orange is actually very palatable. No more wasting time removing that

@willghatch in your Plan9 post I didn't see anything about the resource sharing section of 9p. I thought 9p allowed users to access hardware resources (e.g. CPUs) over the network. Thus low/middle end stations would be able to perform resource intensive tasks on demand by relying on a pool of shared infrastructure.
