@DissidentKitty@sunbeam.city haha, this immediately reminded me of a story in the news. Alexei Botyan, a Russian spy in WWII, blew up an ammo dump in Krakow Poland as the Red Army approached.

Russia says he saved the city from being blown up and views Botyan as a hero. While Polish historians claim there was no plan to blow up the city, the Nazis would have just retreated. Botyan is unknown in Poland.

It's all about perspective. Or maybe spin. Nevermind, I don't know.
