SQL is so weird.

The more I think about it the more I realize I should be running my own social instance. I self-host just about everything else i do it was silly of me to drop it.

Now I just have to decide if I dust off the Friendica thing or try something like mastodon or pleroma. 🤔

I wonder if I should consider hosting my own social instance again.

I seem to be letting the internet distract me from the backlog of work I have waiting. I really should put the phone down and get to it.

Such a nice day today my wife and I went for a walk in one of the regional parks nearby. Great way to get out into nature and mentally reset a bit.

Just recieved in my inbox this morning... "Advisory: Human Race has started" O_O

So finally after 5 and signed out of work. I'm now looking through my various project deciding on where I want to focus this weekend's code time towards.

My normal TGIF will be split into three moods now. Starting with "thank goodness I'm not commuting today", followed by "how do I get everything done this weekend?" thorughout the mid-day, and finishing up this evening with "yay pizza and beer!"

I saw an email today about bike-to-work day activity next week. So out of curiosity I asked Google how long it would take me to get to work via bicycle. The answer is 7.5 hours apparently. Yeah I won’t be doing that anytime soon.

I need a mirror or something for my desk at work. I keep getting startled by folks coming to my cubicle to talk when I have my ear buds in to concentrate on some code.
