@thegrugq @Viss Each server is run by different moderators with potentially different rules or plugins enabled.

Some servers are topical and attract specific interests, so their local timelines have more signal/noise for locals, others (like Librem One) are for everyone and in Librem One's case timelines are disabled altogether.

Think mail servers w/ different policies/spam rules. Some people just run their own, others outsource to others. Regardless everyone can communicate.

@thegrugq yeah. imagine each server has its own timeline, similar to what the main twitter timeline is. if you look at the servers timeline, you see ONLY that servers timeline, not "the entire federated timeline". You can see that one too if you want, but its more compartmentalized, less noise etc.
