@oneway @terryenglish @judgedread I know because gab is actually pretty dead. I wouldn't get nearly as much followers on there. It was a struggle to get 10 followers on there, but i joined this instance and got like 50 in a single day.

@Jessica @oneway @terryenglish Can confirm. Mastodon's post then comment model is closer to old Gab than Pleroma's self contained post model - at least that's what it looks like in my limited browsing of Mastodon instances. I'm on Pleroma here.

He not only had no idea what free speech online implied, he never spent that much time online, being a scheming grifter at heart. He would be much better off fully federating and taking advantage of the trolling opportunities triggering unsuspecting users of new instances. Endless controversy, but without any collateral damage.
