@matrix you know how the Bolsheviks were called when they took power by more orthodox Marxists at the time? it was deemed a right-wing deviation, they were against lots of the actions of Lenin and the rest of the Bolsheviks, the ones that called them that later on went to become LeftComs.
After Stalin gained power as opposed to Trotsky his model of managing the USSR would be called "red fascism" by the more liberal, social democratic and globalist circles. One of the biggest ideological disagreements between the two was that Stalin was in favor of Socialism in One Country but Trotsky believed in constant revolution, he wanted to expand communism to the entire globe.
Much of the radical liberals that call themselves communists these days are really LeftComs or Trotskyist because in the most orthodox form, Real Marxismβ’ can only be achieved at a global level, accelerationism in the form of free market and capitalism is supported for the sake of globalization by marxists to bring on their belief on an inevitability in change, and since there's no such thing as an inevitability in history this just leads to historical materialism being a farce.
