@mewmew @wgahnagl I think the key there is to have someone who used to be fash, or at the very least, can speak their language mediate to them and help them deradicalize bit by bit. It can be hard, and not everyone does, but I'll be damned if it isn't one of the most rewarding feelings in the world when someone close to me who *has* been caught up in one of those wells finally sees with eyes wide open and chooses to discard that hateful ideology of their own free will.
t. used to be sort of fash/fash-adjacent and had A LOT of friends who were fash at one time, most of them have abandoned it because of my influence or I've cut ties with the truly irredeemable/incorrigible ones
