@a7 @judgedread @oneway @terryenglish Pleroma instances look different from one-another because the end user and the admin both have control over the theme. each user can have a completely different looking theme and nobody is doing anything out of the ordinary. There's a reason why pleroma instances have so many themes, because pleroma is made to bend over backwards for the user.

Mastodon instances mostly look the same, same color, same frontpage but all that changes is the admin, maybe a picture in the corner and who's blocked / not blocked

@Jessica @judgedread @oneway @terryenglish ya i have barely used mastodon, first encounter with this protocol and stuff was gnusocial like years back, then i heard about mastodon, got annoyed that people werent mentioning gnusocial, was never involved in these sorta systems, then i was shilling some shit so i made a pleroma account, then a gab account then a twitter account, never had a twitter until last year

@judgedread @oneway @terryenglish I feel like mastodon is trying too hard to copy twitter. I feel that pleroma has a completely different feel to it and it tends to be the better interface imo

@terryenglish @oneway @judgedread Yeah pleroma has a much more chillaxed interface and it's much easily more customized. Unlike mastodon where the only way is to use a browser plugin like stylus, but on here all i have to do is import the theme file on any instance, and i can export on any instance
