@r000t Individual users muting instances is fair in my mind, however admins defederating individual users or instances for anything other than extreme cases or technical reasons is malpractice imo. In other words admins should be facilitating interaction but users have every right to interact with whomever they choose as a general rule. @Moon

I don't understand the question. The large instance in question is not the home of either user in this exchange, and I don't know how a mastodon.lol user was notified to its existence.
