I've read it in its entirety. Seems like an ordinary memo and I find its arguments compelling. I have not verified the details but it is broadly in line with empirical observations on my part.
As usual, journalists are full of shit. At this point I have decided that it isn't even worth verifying anymore if a journalist is accurately depicting the primary data: the majority of the time they are just lying, and you likely will do better guessing blindly.

@fluffy That's definitely an opinion. I don't think anyone is disputing the data. I think the article is trying to draw attention to the fact that the bank's interests are not in line with ordinary workers. I guess I would maybe think that anyone who still thinks this is news at this point hasn't really been paying attention.
