@thor How is Richard Dawkins full of himself? He seems to me to be a very amiable, well spoken decent man. I could see that criticism applying more to Sam Harris or Christopher Hitchens but not Richard Dawkins. @fikran

@terryenglish @thor @fikran The term freethinker came about describing someone with the courage to question church dogma. As such, it tends to be applied to outspoken atheists and similar. These days, there are probably other ideas more strongly associated with non-conformism. If you don't feel like the label fits you, don't self-apply it.
