@theblessing The trick is to have parents who are also failures so they don't have high expectations of you. Worked for me. ๐Ÿ˜‰ @endlessmike @salt @stevejail

@terryenglish @theblessing @endlessmike @stevejail my parents are fairly successful now. not so much before. but they really wanted us all to find our own paths.

@salt Success is a hard thing to quantify anyway. Finding your own path is good and enjoying that path in addition to the destination is even better. @endlessmike @stevejail @theblessing

@terryenglish @endlessmike @stevejail @theblessing they were living on credit card debt for years. literally were going negative every paycheck because prices were too high for shit. then they were able to turn it around and are now living very comfortably with a nice community of friends at church.
@terryenglish @theblessing @endlessmike @salt I'm sure you are unique, and this describes no one else in this conversation. No doubt in my mind that every single person here has parents that were totally, 100% not losers. They all had Dads that were present, skilled, and didn't indulge in retarded vices to cope with a family they didn't want. The mothers of everyone did their job, no eating hot chip and lie. There is zero percent chance that is the case for anyone here... probably.
@stevejail @terryenglish @endlessmike @theblessing the way it looks im the only one here who had anything close to the fantasy family you just described
