@0x00 Hmmm now what is more emblematic of the capitalist system? A handful of companies dedicated to a niche market or entire industries encompassing hundreds if not thousands of companies. Seems like your argument undermines itself sir. The fact is capitalists will sometimes do bad things if it makes them money. Not necessarily an indictment of the whole system but certainly is a reality. @redneonglow

The tech industry seems to be the sole exception to the rest of the capitalist system, which normally does everything it can to (1) make money regardless of the customer's personal opinions, (2) do anything possible to avoid frivolous lawsuits, and (3) avoid getting on the bad side of politicians and regulators.

For example, most companies will give Bill Barr anything he wants just to get him and Trump out of their lives forever. But not the tech industry. They do everything they can to aggravate Bill Barr and Donald Trump on purpose.

I'm still trying to understand why that is. Perhaps they are just the corporate equivalent of trolls, like Anonymous grew up? Or perhaps they are trying to goad the government into democratic socialism, which will make their businesses permanent utilities subject to agencies no doubt run by tech industry lobbyists?
