i don't relate to anyone ive met at uni at all

@terryenglish @RehnSturm256 i dont know anyone in my course as everyone just keeps to themselves, and while my social anxiety isnt as bad as it used to be, i cant just start talking to total strangers
and the other people i know from basically drinking events are either all obsessed with politics or just not people i have enough in common with to enjoy hanging out with most of the time
people just talk about the most asinine things and somehow enjoy that. theres no depth at all

Oh boy... I could tell you horror stories... Most colleges were just "Highschool Part 2" for me. Except, now in college which has more stakes, peoples' awfulness &... Machiavellian machinations, as I'd call them... became more apparent.

I would suggest you try to bond less with drinking events, and more so with clubs on campus imo.

@RehnSturm256 @terryenglish it sucks because i live really far from uni so getting to and from things takes forever and most club things are short notice and don't go very long, its a lot of effort traveling 4 hours for a one or two hour club thing
plus there aren't really any clubs i find super interesting either, but thats secondary, if going wasnt such a pain there's some that i would go to

Like I said, don't let people - or even the world's -brokeness dictate how you feel about yourself. I hope you see & hold onto the good parts of yourself despite the hardships; the parts that worthy people will notice, too.

My point is: how "all" the people treat you, even in an area, a town, a school, etc. doesn't mean they are correct or accurate or know anything about you. Especially with how being a "hive mind" is practically being beaten into everyone's heads. Get it?

They are a small sample size compared to all of humanity, & many are broken or have cruel thoughts that keep them from treating others well. The last thing I wanted is to be accepted by the viscious cruel people of my high school, for example. The "many" are often the lowest common denominator in my experience.
