What I've learned so far being in this city:
You can't date people if all people are already in happy relationships.

@chumii As soon as you hit your mid to late twenties that’s when everyone pairs off and starts making families. The pool at that point starts to dry up pretty fast. Not to discourage you too much but it’s a pretty hard reality to ignore.

the only thing that would stop me from asking a person I'm interested in is if that persons already in a relationship, happy or not, I don't want to interfere with that

@chumii @terryenglish I feel the same, I wouldn't want someone interfering with my relationship so I avoid doing so with others. Funnily enough she was going to go on a date with a guy but he flaked and never made any moves or set up any dates like an idiot.

I'm not even particularly attracted to her, just know her and have been alone long enough due to shyness and not meeting people that I'm willing to take a shot in the dark and see if anything happens.
