@rasterman Funnily enough I have IRL friends talking about setting up an instagram group for organizing in case of war, and I keep avoiding that gay shit because I'd rather not talk anything sensitive online.
@nerthos @rasterman Actual revolutionary activity is treated as organized crime by the feds, only with maximum resources devoted to stamping it out.

If your opsec is not as strong as a mob boss you are getting caught.
@judgedread @rasterman Well, a) this is not usa and b) we're preparing in case the economy goes venezuela and there's a civil war.
@nerthos @rasterman Not US is good. Contrary to propaganda the US is one of the most advanced totalitarian states of all time.

It will have to be weakned considerably before anyone will have a shot at taking it down.
@judgedread @rasterman Over here it depends on what happens in october. The result of the election will determine if things stabilize or there's outright rioting at best, war at worst, since unlike venezuelans, argentinians aren't tame when fucked out of their money completely and the armed forces are extremely patriotic.

Taking out the president is the only thing that can't be done, because the presidential palace is protected by the corps of mounted grenadiers, the best fighting force in the country and one of the best in the entire continent, so no amount of rioteers could get past them (and a regular army would have an extremely tough fight until there's not a single grenadier alive) but anything else is fair game.

I have no interest in taking out political figures, but I'm very interested in putting bullets into looters.
@nerthos @rasterman In the US almost everyone believes that the system can be changed by conventional means, so that's the fake carrot, while the stick is congressmen saying they would gladly drop hydrogen bombs on any rebel outpost. Yes, a real member of congress posted that to twitter within the last year.
