Is it just me or does it seem like Jupiter Broadcasting is kind of falling apart?
They went from having Linux Unplugged, TechSNAP, UserError, ChooseLinux, BSDNow, Linux Headlines, Linux Action News, Self-Hosted and regular Jupiter Extras uploads to just Linux Unplugged, Linux Headlines, and Self-Hosted.
The firing of Joe Ressington killed off a lot of those shows, then BSDNow decided to go independent, and TechSNAP ended a few weeks ago.
I'm conducting a short survey on bias within the computer industry.
Only takes a moment and will be part of an article in the coming days. Feel free to forward around!
Language matters. We spend our time answering emails and support tickets when the writing in our platform is unclear.
Deliberately choosing to stop using language that comes from a legacy of oppression is a small step towards making technology more inclusive.
We're constantly refining our platform as we learn about our users needs and we expect to keep doing so.
Incremental changes like this certainly won't fix the world on their own, but they do make racists angry and uncomfortable, which we consider a win.

Greetings! I’ve been interested in Mastodon for a while, pokes around to find an instance I liked, and I think I’ve settled here thanks to Kev’s article.
I’m a web developer, currently using Rust and Elixir. My distro of choice is NixOS, though I used Debian for a long time before.
In addition to FOSS, I like video games, music, and reading sci-fi/fantasy books.
