Just finished the first project in the book I am using to learn Python called 'Python Crash Course' (by Eric Matthes). It's a great book and I recommend it for anyone who is interested. πŸ‘πŸ½ 😁

I made a small game completely with Python using Pygame. 😁

Technology as it Should Be

"The power of control by Big-Tech in the app store is but a small example of exploitation of our digital lives. If you don’t control the software, the companies who wrote that software control you. You become a digital prisoner."

The EU Council is pushing for encryption backdoors to messenger apps such as WhatsApp and Signal to fight terrorism (German article): fm4.orf.at/stories/3008930/

Despite the fact that errors of investigation in Austrian authorities had made the attack possible in the first place and not a lack of digital surveillance powers. Politicians must start to understand that more surveillance will not lead to more security. That's why we fight any attempt for an encryption backdoor: tutanota.com/blog/posts/why-a-

Last week, Google announced its own VPN service. Trusting Google's VPN would be like trusting a VPN from the NSA. Here's why giving Google direct access to all your online activity is a terrible idea: protonvpn.com/blog/google-vpn/

Did you know? LibreOffice has an alternative user interface called the NotebookBar! To try it out, go to View > User Interface > Tabbed in the menu...

@Tutanota I would love to see the notifications for emails on the desktop client to show the sender and the subject. Is this something that you are working on or planning to work on anytime soon?

An important #Linux phone is getting unveiled tomorrow. The hardware is incredible and the specs don't suck :D

Stay tuned for a video interview when the embargo lifts at 9am Eastern.

I am really loving this app. Whenever I used AppImages before, I had to extract it first to get the icon file (many don't integrate with the system by default) and then create a custom launcher. Now, it's just as simple as making it executable and running it. AppImageLauncher takes care of mostly everything else.

I just found out about these keyboard shortcuts. That just saved me a whole lot of time. I don't have to open the 'Screenshot' tool each time I want to take a screenshot of a window or an area. πŸ˜„
