I just got to know yesterday that Apple has finally taken their Apple Music web app out of beta. Finally! Linux users who use Apple Music won't get a sub par experience. Hopefully, I'll be soon seeing the 'lyrics' function on it as well. πŸ˜€

Then, we also have the problem of unencrypted backups on Android and server-client encrypted backups on iOS (over which we have little control) which are 'promoted'. Although, local backups are available, this is not made clearly evident and the process is not very 'streamlined' (to say the least). However, due to the way WhatsApp works, your messages may not be as private as you think. Firstly, we have the problem of metadata. WhatsApp can seemingly identify the types of files you send, how long you chat with someone and who you chat with.
