External #Bluetooth speaker works flawlessly with #Mobian on #Pinephone. One can use #music #streaming services like #Bandcamp which respect your #freedom and don't use #DRM against you.
Time to abandon the #smartphone walled gardens of #Android and #iOS and switch to a #Linuxphone
@Goldmaster @Tutanota PGP support is coming with Autocrypt. I don't think they'll support IMAP, though. They avoided it in the first place due to security concerns.
@silmathoron @talkpine ๐ Good one!
@dec31 I've heard that Amazon and iTunes offer DRM-free downloads of purchased music but it isn't really mentioned on their own websites, so I could never really be sure.
@dec31 That's amazing! How could I have missed this? I searched all over for a place where I could purchase DRM-free music. It doesn't seem to have everything but there is a decent selection of songs that I like. Thanks for the recommendation. ๐
@dec31 Thanks for the link! I've never heard of Qobuz before. Is it any good?
I really want to be able to buy music without #drm. Music streaming services, like Spotify and Apple Music, really suck! It's really annoying when your songs suddenly disappear. ๐
@JoshStrobl Do you have any plans to integrate Spotify into Koto?
@waywardchild@mastodon.online @Tutanota I agree that there are some features lacking right now but they can easily be added in the future. For now, it's quite functional and simple to use for me. Also, some of the features you've mentioned are already on their roadmap so I doubt you'll have to wait too long.
Check #6 and #393.
@waywardchild@mastodon.online @Tutanota What makes you say that? I am no expert but I think Tutanota's UI is pretty rad. It's simple and clean. It's better than most I've seen.
@Tutanota Isn't email support reserved for the paid plans? Unfortunately, I am still only on the free plan.
@Tutanota After an update, the desktop client forgets my custom zoom settings each time I close the window. The mail counter badge also malfunctions from time to time and doesn't accurately show the number of unread mails.
@m_svo @omgubuntu This is a good idea. The site could pick a theme based on the system or browser theme and let the user override it using a toggle.

@Vega@mastodon.uno @Tutanota There is no guarantee that this version of Signal is secure since it isn't official. It's definitely interesting but the only real way to know that those modifications haven't introduced some vulnerabilities is to read the source code myself, unlike the official version which has been extensively peer reviewed.
@Tutanota Signal is awesome but I really hate the fact that I need to use the Play Store or App Store to get it. I wish it were available on more open platforms. ๐
@lee @DankyNanky Yes, exactly. Lots of privacy-fans prefer to go Premium for the benefit of privacy & encryption - even if they don't need the features. Plus, more and more businesses switch to Tutanota so you're in good company. :) Here's how we pay our development team: https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/new-team-member
@BrodieOnLinux Why do you still share YouTube links? #UseOdysee
@BrodieOnLinux I do remember. There was a time when I couldn't find a single video to watch there. Now, I am following over 17 channels there with more to come. I even found a 'cooking' channel in there. It really has come a long way! I am just waiting for live streaming now. It's apparently 'in the works'. ๐
@LienRag@miaou.drycat.fr I think this is fair. Firstly, we are talking about unencrypted data here. Secondly, they are trying to catch a criminal here. According to the post on Reddit, it also just affects that one account. I think @Tutanota's decision is completely justified. Keep up the great work, guys! Don't let us down. ๐๐ฝ ๐๐ฝ
