@Solus What about Wayland? I know you refused to use it earlier to maintain compatibility with games and apps meant for X11. It looks like things are starting to change, though, with Ubuntu and Fedora making it the default.
@Solus Are there any plans to replace Pulseaudio with PipeWire in Solus anytime soon?
@cryptomator I also prefer the lighter green used in the fourth one, which I feel provides a better contrast with the shade of white used there. The black outline and less 'overpowering' usage of green are also nice touches.
@cryptomator My favourite is the fourth one from the left. The one in use now isn't bad but I prefer the fourth one more due to its higher level of detail. It gives it a very 'polished' feel.
Today we have sent this open letter to the European commission to fight for strong encryption together with @boxcryptor @cryptomator #Mailboxorg #mailde #Mailfence #Praxonomy and #tresorit

@JoshStrobl What about the quality of tools, though? I tried Glade a few times but it is a little rough around the edges. I don't have any experience with QtDesigner but I expect it to be better as it is part of their main offering. There is also the problem of how fractured GTK designs themselves are. As someone who is also just starting out, I am confused as to whether I should adhere to GNOME's HIG, Elementary's HIG or disregard them both.
@JoshStrobl Isn't Qt better, though? After all, it is supported by a commercial organization and has more widespread developer support.
@JoshStrobl Is there a reason why you chose to go with GTK over Qt for Koto? Which one do you think is better for Linux application development?
@JoshStrobl That's cool. I am curious, though. Do you expect to use Koto as the default music player on Solus?
@JoshStrobl Awesome! When do you expect to release the first version of Koto? I can't wait! ๐
@JoshStrobl It's nice to see that Koto's design has taken into account those who are trying to migrate away from Spotify. I am excited to see its first release. As for DRM-free music, have you considered Amazon and iTunes?
@JoshStrobl Where do you get your #DRM free music to show in those 'Koto Development' streams?
@JoshStrobl @Solus Do those services actually support Odysee?
@JoshStrobl @Solus Cool! ๐ I didn't know you could do that.
@JoshStrobl @Solus I heard livestreaming is around the corner for Odysee. Are you considering it as an alternative to Twitch at present?
@Athelstan @omgubuntu I agree with @lifeofdan. While many of us Linux users care about privacy, excluding 'Big Tech' and its users entirely from the Linux ecosystem is only going to be detrimental to us. While I am no fan of Microsoft, I still appreciate that Edge is finally available on Linux in a more complete manner.
