@strypey This seems like a great initiative. Is the use of free code software in education common? I know here in Manitoba, Canada, my kids' schools are stumbling all over themselves to connect them to proprietary platforms and services. The other day, they both got logins to their very own Microsoft Teams accounts!?
I'm hoping to learn more about better practices elsewhere, so I can make the case for a shift to open over time.

The question is how do we generate an environment and culture in which a mindset of scarcity is less pervasive. Getting the economic boot off of people’s throats would help immensely. So would a higher degree of empathy and compassion. The opposite of scarcity is abundance.
I'm Stuart. After spending the first part of my life pursing a traditional career and family life, I was gently, then rudely, awakened by two encounters with #leukemia, and a #StemCellTransplant.
Now, a big part of my focus is learning about #cooperative and #participatory models of organization, decision-making, and economic exchange. I'll probably post lots of questions and ideas along these lines.
I also enjoy #gardening, and riding my #RecumbentTrike.
