My swing at @eliasr ‘s social.librem.one/@eliasr/1054

I only have one SIM card, so I did…
in one room
ssh into L5 from a desktop in another room
send the text to an Android phone in a third room
see the SMS on my watch

“stupid” in the best possible way :)

I had some trouble reproducing this. The key (for me) was to include delivery-report-request='yes'. Most tutorials didn’t have that, so I attached mine if you want to play the home game :)

@someunexpectedsparks Adding to the tutorial, in my case it seemed necessary to somehow turn off the phone's normal sms handling first, otherwise it said "No sms messages were found" after creating a new sms. It worked after I killed the "chatty" process which is normally running. Seemed like chatty was eating the sms messages before I could list them or send them. Were you able to send sms using mmcli when chatty was running?

@eliasr I saw no interference from Chatty, left it running.

The list command helped me a lot. Seeing msgs get created or not was useful. I was able to see Chatty msgs using it. In the attached screen shot, msgs 11 was created/sent by Chatty. I assume msgs 12 was received and consumed by Chatty. Msgs 13 was sent with Chatty in the foreground on the .

Sounds like your experience is different than mine. Not sure why. Maybe this helps?

@someunexpectedsparks Thanks. For me the sms messages that I created using mmcli were removed if chatty was running. Now I just saw this issue was created about it: source.puri.sm/Librem5/purple-
