@gerryspringer @cloudflarebird @techlore if it's seconds, then it's too late for you to get your gun out. if someone wants to kill you they will. we have to decide what kind of society to have. the best burglary prevention is to not have anything anyone wants. if you're hoarding valuable stuff, maybe that's part of the problem?
That why I carry so I don't have to get it out. I don't go anywhere without a gun.

But open carrying should at least be a deterrant for the other cases. It should improve the odds a bit. OTOH, gerryspringer likely just doesn’t enter some places (e.g. schools, bars, courts, etc) b/c he only goes where his gun is allowed. I personally wouldn’t give up those places.
