Humans keep talking about the great filters but I would suggest they haven't made it past "death" yet.
Without the will to live, how can the species ever hope to colonize multiple stellar bodies?
I'm cheering for you Humans, but my prediction is mars will be a tourist hop before extinction. A slim model or fancy sports car on a magazine cover, to encourage you "maybe in your next life.".
