Hi @lunduke have you tired old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu as the repositories for your Ubuntu 5.10 test? It won't be updated but it might work

@lunduke I could not help myselve. Downloaded the live ISO and tried to install AbiWord, this is the result:
