@lwriemen9102@mastodon.technology @Argus@mastodon.technology @purism I don't agree with things like the lack of timelines, I do however agree that what is appropriate or not lies in the hands of the user not the company or government, censorship won't end well for us but will give governments and corporations more control.
I think most of purism's issues is with growing pains and mistakes rather then malice, people don't agree with eachother and we need to learn to live with it.

@RehnSturm256 @kemonine @purism Meaningful community comes from open and authentic interactions, which is why I'm here instead of on censored mainstream platforms. How can you make meaningful connections with people when the censors are constantly peering over your shoulder to punish you for wrong opinions or jokes deemed to be too insensitive?

Supporting gay rights doesn't make you gay
Supporting racial equality doesn't make you black
Supporting the right for abortion doesn't make you pregnant (or not)
Supporting free speech does mean hate speech, but doesn't mean you agree with hate speech or are hateful, just that we shouldn't censor others like 1400s Catholics.
