So yeah been trying to get LBRY running on my laptop. But keeps telling me that port 5279 is in use and it's not by any program I have. So the reason why I decided to start out clean slate on my laptop this weekend. Hopefully get LBRY up and running on a fresh system.
@pkimpton have you tried sockstat to see what is using the port?
@rakor For giggles I tried sockstat. As I thought the port wasn't being used. So figure I'll do a cleanwipe this weekend and install the app before anything else.
@pkimpton really from scratch? How about trying in a VM first?
What os have you chosen?
@rakor my Acer Cloudbook is far too limited to run a VM. I may try Arch.
@rakor yeah, usb drive with an iso. Since there's no disc drive. I'm used to it. Gonna back up what little on my drive tonight after work.
