What's a good typing tutor? Free software I can install on my Debian machine, or online service type would both work.

This heat wave keeps reminding me of J. G. Ballard's novel, The Drowned World. I'm a little unnerved by this.

People on the german atari-home.de forum are looking for the extensive printed documentation for Thomas Tempelmann's TempleMon debuger/disassembler for #Atari ST/TT/Falcon. Apparently those 120 pages never had a digital distribution, and the original file has been lost. Does anyone happen to have any leads?

The application itself has been made available for free a long time ago: tempel.org/files-e.html#TMON

PSA: The National Grid (in the UK) cannot distinguish between sources of electricity. One cannot be "switched" from one source to another. The idea that one can change one's electricity supplier and then get "green" electricity is about economics and marketing, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the electrons that enter and exit the home through one's distribution box. It's a fantasy.

When I see marketroids talking about "green" electricity I feel sad for them and the people who believe them.

@hannibal_ad_portas you'll be interacting with the DRM/KMS and GBM subsystems. My friend Scott has written some early docs on this from the userspace perspective:

github.com/ascent12/drm_doc

But unfortunately your best bet is to read existing implementations. Here's the wlroots DRM backend:

github.com/swaywm/wlroots/tree

It may also be helpful to reference libdrm and the kernel drivers:

gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/dr

git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/k

That is, if you're interested in the graphics infrastructure. If you're just interested in writing a Wayland compositor and less so in the deep technical work, check out wlroots:
