YAML isn't everyone's favorite syntax for structured data, but it's a lot better than random, ad hoc syntax. I'm looking at you, 50 years of Unix tradition in /etc, and Dockerfile.
@ptman@liw Completely agree. Speaking of a strict yaml subset, I have used StrictYAML in the past: https://hitchdev.com/strictyaml/. Would love to see it gain more adoption, but it needs more language support.
