@polychrome Too bad the 'Retro Pixel-Art' game developers will never take any of this into consideration.
@Venn For me the most annoying part of this season was seeing the doctor run around and erase people's memory. The whole point of the plot in Shada (4th doc) was that only 1 timelord had advanced telepathy like that... And they had the wireless chat between the doc and master too! Feels like an animé where the main character just keeps getting powerups.
@Venn Holy steam sounds like a TempleOS port from Valve to me.
@Venn Didn't they get bought by like the flipping makers of the engine though? All this is beyond stupidity. Maybe with the update after the support ends, the game will evoke the Epic Game Store even through Steam!

@garbados except for the fact that everyone needs to die, life is finite and that is what makes it meaningful.
@strider@mast.linuxgamecast.com True, maybe we'll never have the masters we deserve. On the other hand, some wiser aliens could fit the requirements to be our overlords.
At any rate, I think without strict leadership from more powerful beings, humans will continue to hurt other humans. Also anything else we come into contact with, really.
@strider@mast.linuxgamecast.com I know current AI has nothing to do with the I in it. I'm talking about the real stuff.
I don't think there would be a way to shut down/destroy a real AI, seeing how we leak info all the time. There is never going to be a containment solution good enough for an actual AI with a decent amount of computing power behind it.
@strider@mast.linuxgamecast.com We will never have a fair system until AI rules us all. That is if we'll ever be able to create an AI ruler without built in corruption capabilities.
Every animal is looking at their own needs first, humans are no exception. This means humans are unfit for the task of managing/leading others, imo.
@wjmaggos These big corporations are just never going to tilt towards something without the backing of other big corporations. This is how they do business, I don't think it'll change any time soon.
@wjmaggos @goofysufi @BernieOrVest@mastodon.social To be honest, they just don't see the $ in it. People are hesitant to leave platforms behind unless something better comes along. Now Mastodon we could argue is better in some ways, but the UX is clearly behind a centralized design.
