@boilingsteam I hope not, x86 is at least somewhat open, while Arm is really locked down. Imagine having to flash computers like phones, possibly bricking them in the process, just to install a new/different OS.

@predator8bit ARM is mainly locked down because of the different manufacturers preferring them to be locked down: they don't publish open drivers or any documentation for any of the chip they produce which is why most of the devices cannot be updated.
