My friend chastised her husband when he complimented my outfit and said I looked good....
Why couldn't she agree with him?!?!
I certainly did look good!
She has no worries from me "taking" her husband...
Not my type but why is it so difficult to allow people to compliment?!?!

That tells you right there that your friend believes that you have something to offer that she cannot and yes that makes feel threatened by your looks. It also lets you know that they might not have the relationship that they are letting everyone to know.
