Dear university professors: please do not require people use a proprietary online coursework solution when the class is supposed to be a lecture class. Making someone use MathXL, My Lab & Mastering, etc, is wrong not only because of the obvious proprietary nature, but they're also (VERY) cost prohivitive. The fact people use loan money for that *on top* of textbooks is crazy. I'm begging my uni professor comrades: please take a stand.
@lunasspecto It really is crazy. It isn't particularly helpful, either. It's an incredibly effective (and evil) method of pesudo-DRM, though. If you tie the course to the digital tests, there's no way you can avoid buying it. You can no longer just get a shared copy of the book from the internet.
