I want a small flagship phone. Not a “5.5" is totally small!” phone, but a truly small phone that is fast, gets updates, and has a good camera. Like… a Pixel Mini. ~4.5" 2:1 OLED. Thinish bezels, but doesn't have to be edge to edge. Premium build.

The Pixel 3 does feel skinnier than the Pixel 2 thanks to the more round sides, but I have completely given up using it one-handed. And that's sad. I can't use it standing on the train. I can't use it while holding a kid. I practically can't use it without fear of dropping it.

Motorola differentiated with a small (4.3") phone in 2013. That rightly advertised that it was a phone you could actually hold. It was even designed smart as a rounded wedge shape that fit nicely in your hand.
