@hannibalwhite13 Do they though? It uses Google Cloud Messaging (changed name to Firebase now I think), giving Google private metadata about your messages. They didn't allow there to be a fork without it either.
@Matter @hannibalwhite13 Current APK from their website works without it, would be nicer if it were the case for the Play Store version as well though, yeah.
