Attention wandered for a bit, but I got code that does the thing and an only slightly sketchy story. Next I ponder how much to clean up the code and how much to fill out the story.

@petrisch BTW I was rushing through because caffeine, but if you were to run this or something like it, insert is the best command for adding a column, not upsert.
@randomgeek true, upsert means "update if it exists, or insert if it doesn't" right?
Shouldn't make a difference here though.
