Ford EVs will get access to Tesla’s Supercharger network in 2024

@donwatkins this is why I like @elementary they fully embraced flatpaks early on and it makes the whole experience of using a computer so clean and seamless!
@sil @danirabbit Stuart I had the same thought when I saw that; I regret reading the comments and it quite disturbed me, but it also proved the point.
@danirabbit It's great you are doing diligence on things like this. I just wanted to say that there is something to be said for the current approach. But I trust your decisions on the way forward!
@danirabbit It depends on what you view as the future of AppCenter. If people can choose AppCenter *or* Flathub, I think many will chose Flathub, and the incentives to develop apps for AppCenter will fall.
A difference with mastodon is there each user selects exactly one server. But in your case, a user could use one or multiple app repos. One of the things I just love vs other distro's is how few choices there are to make. I'm one that think the current approach balances that well.
@mdickens it seems like a rare case of a problem that actually has a straightforward solution
Yale Law Professor appearing in NYT for actually interesting reasons, ideas.
In 2009, Esther Conwell was awarded the National Medal of Science for her contributions to understanding electron transport in semiconductors.
She narrates most of this lovely little video about her career and contributions:
Arthur Conan Doyle is best known for The Detective, of course, but he also wrote many non-Holmes stories.
A lesser-known fave is “The Doctors of Hoyland,” in which a man can’t wrap his head around a woman being a better doctor than him. All he can think to do is propose marriage, and she laughs him off to go do more Science. It holds up!
You can read it here: https://web.stanford.edu/dept/HPS/doctorsofhoyland.html
“Still, it is an error to argue in front of your data. You find yourself insensibly twisting them round to fit your theories.”
— Sherlock Holmes, The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born #OTD in 1859
@osc I’ve seen some people worry about this but to me it is all positive. I like mastodon and the platform has more value to me if I can connect with some people on that new app and aren’t going to use mastodon.
@tokyo_0 Amazing work!
@marcan You are doing amazing work!
