I was talking about this elsewhere for other reasons but let me skip all that and just say that “Elements of Surprise” is absolute gem of a book, and if you are at all interested in novels, films, plot twists, puzzles, cognition, or surprise endings, you absolutely should read it. veratobin.org/publications/ele

Hi @codemonkeymike I know you do some refurbishing, linux-ifying, and donating of used laptops. I know of a non-profit org that could use one or two refurbished devices. Is there a way you or your organization could help? How can I get in touch?

@strypey Watched Dogma last night, indeed very much worth revisiting this one!

@strypey You've sent me down quite a rabbit hole, apparently Dogma isn't available in the US on any streaming platform or even for purchase anywhere. And because of that I want to re-watch it even more now. I'm off on an adventure now to find it.

@strypey Oh wow, I had forgotten about that film. I might re-visit that one soon too now that you planted the idea.

I simply adore this photo of James Earl Jones & Big Bird.

Yes, he played a lot of memorable dads from Darth Vader to Mufasa to King Jaffe Joffer + countless other incredible roles on & offscreen.

And Mr. Jones also happened to be the very first celebrity guest on Sesame Street. #history #media #art
