#Listening to Psykup's 2008 album We Love You All;

This has vague undertones of Slipknot, Mr Bungle and System of a Down, and given the release date, they're probably all influences on this band's approach to music. But Psykup do their own thing, and these 6 tracks are well worth a listen.
My Toy, My Satan, the third track on We Love You All, has a bunch of vocal samples I recognise from the 1999 comedy movie Dogma. Including Chris Rock, as Rufus the 13th apostle, saying of his buddy Christ;
"Knew him? Nigga owes me 12 bucks!"
It's been years since I last saw Dogma, so I decided to make it my Friday night movie. So glad I did! What a frickin brilliant film. Thoughtful, heartwarming, clever without rubbing the audience's nose in it, and laugh out loud funny.

Intriguing. Why wouldn't the corporatist ruling classes not want us watching a film called Dogma? 🤔
Most likely there's some boring "IP" shitfuckery reasons for this. Just like there was when scAmazon reached out their Big Brother fingers and deleted 1984 from a whole lot of people's Kindles. But I find both cases symbolically resonant...
