I had two conversations in the last week with different friends who insist on buttons not touchscreens. One was managing their music collection, and still uses an ipod classic because they want a player with buttons. The other is using a minimalist phone device from Punkt that has buttons and basically does only sms, calling, and signal only. I think the younger generations, that know only touchscreen devices and haven't experienced buttons, might have missed out on something.
This is the device from Punkt, it uses Pigeon for messaging and otherwise is quite minimalist. https://www.punkt.ch/en/products/mp02-4g-mobile-phone/#overview
