Fellow #academics , I need your help:
What reasons would you give a student from social sciences or humanities to learn #coding?
I need to convince them that #coding is not just for Engineers, and they could/should learn it, too.

@ccamara I suppose you are familiar with Kieran Healy's book Data Visualization. If a sociologist is writing a book about how to code, that seems a good sign that social scientists find coding useful. I guess more generally the argument is that telling a story with data is useful for many fields, and visualizing data can be a fun and compelling way to tell stories with data.
