I'm not a software dev, so how can I go about encouraging someone to compile an opensource app like Flowframes to go on #flathub? Many apps are out there that would be great on Linux that are already open source but haven't been compiled for Linux yet!

@micahbp @FlatpakApps it would greatly depend on whether or not the app is open source or not. If it's not open source the only option would be to reach out to the creator of the app to see if they would create a Linux version and hopefully flatpack it. If it is open source you can always go to the repo and submit a feature request directly to the developers. Showing interest in a Linux version is usually the first step.

@micahbp @FlatpakApps if no one responds, ask if there's a place to submit feature request tickets. I find things get lost in the noise on Discord. It's a good place for short-term troubleshooting but terrible for tracking long-term interest in features. If there's a ticket associated to the feature others might find it and boost its popularity.
