Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against pattern matching (or the idea of the walrus operator and other recent syntactic changes). My opposition is towards making expressions much less context-free and greatly harm readablity as we progress.
I get it, languages blend, but we're taking it to the extreme by practically creating another C++ by trying to add language features while desperately maintaining backward-compatibility.

While are Guile and Rakudo so outdated, CodeChef? Without recent compiler optimization, there's no use making Scheme or Raku an option because all your users get will be TLEs.

WAs crashing Guix FOSDEM fringe earlier and gotta say at the design level, Big Blue Button works better for asymetric meetings (like ones with a host online lectures) than most video conferencing I've been experiencing so far, free or proprietary.
Yes I'm easily distracted to notice that, expecially when the topic is something I can barely grasp.
