@Migueldeicaza interesting, do you know of anywhere that lists every subscription that comes with Apple News+? I found a few really dated lists from 2020 but maybe thats all there really is for public listings 🤔

@Philippe_Dam article says story published by Octopus, is that a different news site and it's been reposted (asking since it says that AFP sorry not yet available) or is Octopus just the publishing platform?

3 steps to prepare for the future:

1) Integrate Plausible into your site
2) Import your historical GA stats
3) Ditch Google Analytics 🚀

If you're an #academic studying complex collaboration (multiteam, networked and non-hierarchical, interorganizational, group dynamics, etc.) I'd love to talk. Currently looking at doing the deep dive and joining #academia to study the psychology of it.

"The internet’s town square should never have been one specific website with its own specific rules and incentives. It should have been, & should be, the web itself.

Having one entity own & police that square could only deform the worldwide conversation" inessential.com/2022/11/13/aft

@Lizburton @mekkaokereke that's the "systemic" part of systemic racism. Tactics to suppress Black votes specifically, also end up suppressing votes of other races.

While there will be a lot of Democratic votes suppressed, because that's the point; this will ALSO suppress some Republican votes as well.

The flip side of this is that - a minority reaching places usually taken by for the majority, does not mean the systemic issues are gone.

Welp. Just filed my first two reports for racism 😞

Recognizing that this is probably a very popular place to say this, I think the world needs a vibe change where we value cooperative action more and winner-take-all contests less.

Sorry y'all I had to mute this. I only asked to boost bc I expected like 3 and I was hoping to amplify the poll but I guess that there's been a lot ppl wondering the same thing!

There are at least two #instances dedicated to #disabled people on #mastodon now. The (more or less) German fedisabled.social and the English disabled.social
Maybe one of them can be a home for you too?

@scottishphil totally fair. I'm in that group but really my time on the internet mostly coincides with the rise of the big centralized internet sites like FB.

@mikarv yeah that was sort of what I was imagining. There seems to be a general sense of "haha we're doomed and being exploited" that pervades the younger generations so a decentralized as free experience would seem like an attractive alternative. And like you say, fandom knows no limits. But I wasn't sure I would reach those communities either 🤷‍♂️

@jynersolives that last option LOL

I almost made the last option "Old like dirt"

@vfrmedia @drV yeah I'm not really surprised with the results so far actually. Lots of academics and journalists joined lately and those aren't exactly careers that skew young.

Plus if the adults are doing it there's probably a point where that makes it actively uncool to the youths 🙃
