I like when I buy a box of phones and then sell one phone for the price of the box. (I don't often do that though, I then kinda feel like part of the problem of phones not having near-zero prices.)

Lucky! Here people often attempt to sell their old stuff at original price they paid for it 5 years ago 😩
I've once seen an online ad of a person selling a box that Apple Thunderbolt Display came in for 2000 roubles (about 30 USD at the time).
I thought: "That is some seriously insane shit!"— but it all started making sense when I was selling my Thunderbolt Display and there were those who refused to buy it without a box 🤪

@m0xee There's always a flea market seller who just wants to be quickly rid of their old stuff, a collector who is willing to pay more than that seller asks, and all it takes is that lucky bastard in the middle who can use the difference. (The "can use" is the reason I don't do it so often - on a steady satisfying income, I let others be the bastards, but not having that at the moment, a sellable old Nokia is welcome.)

Yep, there is nothing wrong with having more time than you do when you want someone to get all this stuff off your hands ASAP or having that one particular thing, you're willing to pay premium for instead of getting something new, but generic, but on intuitive level it still feels like something… dishonourable — probably my Soviet upbringing speaking 😅

@m0xee Knowing what I know of money, where it goes, what it does to individuals and groups... I find the entire system of it dishonorable.

Well, one needs moneh to be sporting a dual-CPU PentiumPro-based workstation in the year 2025 🤭
