I have a feeling that the set of girls who post half-naked pics all other their social media and the set of girls who complain about dick pics in DMs do intersect. Not fully, but enough for the pattern to emerge.

No shit, Sherlock — girls who post their half-naked pics get more attention from men, and that includes unwanted attention too.
But your logic is very similar to "girls who don't wear burqa tend to complain more about getting raped" and I don't like it.
Being more open about their sexuality is no excuse for others to not remain civil, I doubt they would mind you making public posts with your dick pics 😏

@newt
In other words, and I might be stating the obvious, they think that their nude photos should not be perceived as an invitation for unwanted attention. It's receiving them from the men they don't know that is the problem, not the dick pics per se. Same as behaviour you'd probably be fine with when it's coming from your friends, would be perceived as over-familiarity when it's coming from a random stranger 🤷

@m0xee you misinterpret my words. I was pointing at slight hypocrisy of those exposing themselves to the public complaining about having being exposed to others.

Btw most nudes from girls are quite disgusting. And I mean the very quality of the pics taken on a phone camera in a dirty mirror and visible fingerprints. Smartphones ruined everything, we can't even have nice tit pics without having to plough through oceans of garbage :akkounamused:

@newt
Well, in this case you're comparing the uncomparable — we can hold an experiment to confirm that, but, like I said, I'd expect them to not mind you sharing your dick pics for everyone to enjoy vs sending those pics to them specifically.

@newt
As for the second part — we can extrapolate that: absolute most photos are simply disgusting, including the nude photos, yep — the smartphones… But the proportion probably remained the same, so due to number of photos taken growing dramatically, the absolute number of tasteful nudes has increased too — it's just that now you have to know where to look.

@newt
It's the same kinda argument as music becoming shit as you no longer need an orchestra to record it — yeah, the amount of goawful music is simply astounding, but some of the stuff recorded using a laptop, a DAW and an affordable soundcard is simply amazing — navigating the seas of feces on SoundCloud is not for the faint of the heart, that is true, but finding true gems isn't impossible — it's not even that hard if you're brave enough 👨🏿‍✈️

@newt
Was it from some rando or from a girl you've expressed prior interest in? Was it disgusting? Because, likewise, most dick pics aren't the works of art in the slightest — gender roles might have shifted the way some behaviour is being considered "more normal" and other "less normal", but in terms of how we perceive things on personal level, I don't think that boys and girls are that different.

@m0xee
>Was it from some rando or from a girl you've expressed prior interest in?

It was from girls who expressed interest in me. I didn't reciprocate.

>Was it disgusting? Because, likewise, most dick pics aren't the works of art in the slightest

About the same quality as an average dickpic, I reckon.

@newt
Everything is individual, to me women expressing overt interest is rather off-putting and in most cases leads to mea having even less interest in them. As in most situations, I do my best to be mindful and reject overt advances in a way that won't be considered offensive, unfortunately not everyone "gets it" and a few times I had to act like an asshole 😔

@newt
Again, it's all individual — you like receiving womens' attention no matter if you're interested in them or not, maybe there are girls who like getting unsolicited dick pics There one more aspect to it however: in real life circumstances it's much easier for a man to stop unwanted interaction than for a girl to stop an advance from a man who is already set on it, fails to read their reaction and might be intoxicated on top of it.

@newt
Women take that into account and tend to get openly hostile at an earlier stage, this extends to online interactions as well, but in most general case I don't think that we're that different and I don't think that "all men are happy when they get attention from any woman, it's only girls who complain" is true.

@newt
Something's peculiar about that post, I can't retrieve it neither from my instance, nor from this one.
Could it have limited visibility, private/followers only?

@newt
Oh, yes, I've seen that one! Kinda odd that it doesn't show up when I'm looking for it explicitly 🤔

Had your behaviour been genuine/honest, it might've even worked for you 😅

@newt
There are people like that, who have been manipulated in their childhood, they tend to get manipulative themselves and are also looking for similar type of relationships in their adult life. They need help to get out of their "vicious cycle" and a person who's genuinely interested in them to get into a healthy relationship. If you aren't that person — indeed, best to avoid.

@m0xee literally don't care. I'm not a charity to help people fix their heads. Especially when they are rather unkind towards me.

@newt
No one's asking you to — not playing them on purpose is usually good enough, unfortunately for them, they keep gambling until they find someone who does and use that to further reinforce their belief that everyone is like that 😩
