Is this company Russian? The facts that their website has only Russian and English languages, they suggest using Russian online stores and some key people have Russian names look *kinda* suspicious to me 🤨

It's not even about the political statement, there are reasons to stay away from Russian tech even if it's manufactures in Taiwan.
Just as Americans are often… alarmed about electronic equipment that offers security/privacy made in US — just a few days ago I was accused of being on "CIA instance"🤣(But why would a Russian person care about CIA?)

In this form factor — probably yes, never dug into it, but if we're talking physical keyboard in broader sense, there is this: https://liliputing.com/phones/fxtec-pro1-x-specs/
There is Cosmo Communicator: https://www.www3.planetcom.co.uk/cosmo-communicator
I think there could be other options to choose from 🤷

Can't tell, never had it. Might depend on your use cases. Besides, I expect it to be a day night difference in terms of usability when you use the Android it came with compared to when you put e.g. Ubuntu Touch on it — which I would probably do, or rather PostmarketOS even, don't see the point in having another Android device — but you might have other things in mind of course.

I don't know. Its a niche market nowadays — not as profitable. I remember upper management folks adoring their Blackberries in the 2000s — it was a high profit margin market at the time, but times change and nowadays you're better off cranking out "slate" phones for the wider audience, even if you're a smaller company.
thats what the unihertz basically is
